If you’re feeling left out that why iOS device users are getting all the video calling fun then here’s something awesome for you. Yahoo Messenger for Android has been given an update and it now supports free video calling, data charges apply.
The video calling feature is in it’s beta stage right now, so watch out for bugs and insects. But there’s one catch in the whole video calling thingy, you should have a device running Android 2.2 Froyo or above (which doesn’t exist yet, but soon will) and also it supports a very few devices at the moment. It’s a heart breaker to note that the Samsung Galaxy S is not supported. Oh wait, the description of the app says “It requires OS 2.2+”, so does this mean that Gingerbread 2.3 is now more than an imminent release? It better be! [via PocketNow]
